CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCEDURE (CAP)
THROUGH DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (DTE) / STATE CET CELL


1. Candidates who wish to seek admission to Bachelor of Architecture - Five Year Degree Programme at School of Environment and Architecture need to register with Directorate of Technical Education / State CET Cell for Centralised Admission Procedure.

  • Candidates can check their eligibility through Council of Architecture website https://www.coa.gov.in/.
  • Candidates who are eligible can apply for the centralized admission process through DTE WEBSITE - http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/ or STATE CET CELL WEBSITE - http://cetcell.mahacet.org/. All the information regarding the schedule and the procedure will be updated on the above-mentioned websites.
  • Candidates who wish to apply for vacant seats after CAP Rounds should apply through www.sea.edu.in.


2. Candidates are required to fill in the online admission form, take print outs and duly sign the online application form and submit the duly signed application form with the required list of documents to ARC (Admission Reporting Centre) / FC (Facilitation Centre). The information regarding the same will be available on DTE or STATE CELL website mentioned above.


3. After registration, the eligible candidates will be allotted a CANDIDATE APPLICATION ID, MERIT SCORE and MERIT RANK which will be displayed on the CAP websites. The CAP websites will also announce the schedule for each of the steps of the admission procedure.

GENERAL STEPS FOR THE CAP ROUNDS ARE AS FOLLOWS




Step 1
Register for the CAP Rounds through DTE/STATE CET CELL.Depending on the schedule submit the duly filled form to the ARC/ FC.

Step 2
Complete the registration form and get the form stamped. They will handover a STAMPED copy of the application slip.


Step 3
Depending on the schedule submit the required documents at the nearest ARC/ FC. Keep the initial STAMPED application slip along with you. They will handover a DOCUMENT VERIFICATION SLIP after all the documents are scrutinized.

Step 4
The candidates are required to keep a check on the website for display of provisional merit list and need to check the CORRECTNESS of the mentioned details. If there is any discrepancy, then the candidates should immediately contact their ARC/FC centre and get it rectified.

Step 5
Candidates will then check the FINAL MERIT LIST on their website to know the rank and merit score. A slip mentioning the MERIT SCORE and MERIT RANK will be generated in their login.


Step 6
The candidates will have to fill up an online option form and submit it to the ARC / FC.

Step 7
CAP rounds will be conducted as per schedule. The candidates should keep a check on the allotment of seats and report to their desired institute with all the required documents and fees. They should check with the institute about the procedure which they need to follow in order to complete the admission process at the institute. Candidates who wish to apply for betterment of seat should check the procedure and norms with the ARC / FC centre.

Step 8
After the CAP Rounds are completed. The institute will display the SEAT MATRIX for VACANT SEATS (IF ANY) and allotment for the same on their website. CANDIDATES should apply for the vacant seats to individual colleges. The procedure for the same is as mentioned under Vacancy Admission Rounds tab.

Admission FAQs 





1. What Approvals and Affliations does SEA have?

SEA is approved by the Council of Architecture and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). SEA undertakes admissions through centralised admission process. The procedure and schedules for the admission process are as mentioned by the Statutory Authority.


2. What is the Eligibility Criteria for admission at SEA?

SEA shall admit only such candidates who qualify National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA),JEE or any aptitude test in Architecture, drawn on the pattern prescribed in these standards, conducted by a competent authority in the country. Further, it shall follow the eligibility criteria and Admission Norms prescribed by Council of Architecture. Visit their website www.coa.gov.in


3. What is the selection process for enrollment at SEA?

Candidates will have to clear NATA/JEE as per COA norms. All admissions to SEA are through the CAP rounds conducted by the statutory authority. For a comprehensive overview, visit COA website page by clicking here.


4. What is the cut off percentage for your college?

Range of admissions change based on ongoing enrollments and cancellations over the different rounds of selections every year, and therefore the cut off percentage can not be ascertained.



5. What is the intake capacity of SEA?

SEA has an intake to 40 students per class. All seats are allocated by the CAP.


6. Does SEA have management seats?

No. All 40 seats are allocated to candidates only through the CAP rounds. SEA has surrendered all its seats to the Government and hence will follow a centralised process.


7. What are the annual fees?

8. Are there any Scholarships?

SEA makes all efforts to provide need-based support to deserving students from the second year onwards. Students requiring this should approach the administration to fill in necessary details.


9. Is there any hostel facility for outstation students?

At present, SEA does not provide any hostel facilities for students outside Mumbai. However, students are welcome to explore a range of paying guest options in close vicinity of the school.


10. What are the school timings?

Regular lectures and course work is conducted between 8 am to 4 pm from Monday to Friday. The administration office is open from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday. The studios are however open to students 24X7 with prior permission after 11 pm.
